Perhaps they do, having all been touched by Jelani “Pops” Shaw, a multi-award-winning songwriter and producer hailing from the vibrant culture of Trinidad and Tobago. With a career spanning over a decade, he has established himself as a powerhouse in the Caribbean and international music scenes. Known for his unique sound—a blend of Caribbean rhythms with contemporary hip-hop, R&B, and reggae—Pops infuses every track with authenticity and soul.

Pops’ journey began with the sounds of steelpan, jazz and calypso that filled his childhood, but his musical curiosity soon led him to explore and blend other genres, making him a master of fusion. His deep understanding of music and his versatility in various styles have attracted global artists and brands, solidifying his reputation as a visionary in modern music production.

He is currently in studio working on his debut album.
